Innovation and stringently controlled production: the key to effective products
ORTIS’ scientists are constantly monitoring developments all over the world to discover new ways of harnessing the potential benefits of plants. The Research and Development team, made up of biochemists, pharmacists and nutritional scientists, defines the specifications for the raw materials to be used in each ORTIS product.
These are the criteria which are checked by the company’s in-house quality control laboratory. The stability of each formulation is studied and verified before the product is launched on the market. Once a new formulation has been validated, the product goes into the production phase, during which it is subjected to many mandatory checks with the possibility of rejection at each stage. The packed and finished product undergoes a final quality inspection before it is released for sale. ORTIS’ production and quality management processes are fully compliant with European requirements. In November 2009, ORTIS’ internal inspection system was validated by the AFSCA [Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain].
With regard to the effectiveness of its formulations, ORTIS has put in place best practices in its production to ensure the consistency of product compositions, and therefore the presence of the main active ingredients responsible for the effectiveness of each formulation.
