Acide alginique extrait d'algues Phaeophycea
Origine
Les principaux organismes constitués d’alginates sont les algues brunes. En effet ces dernières en sont constituées pour plus de 40 % ce qui constitue le polysaccharide le plus abondant de ces organismes. L’acide alginique est un constituant quasiment constant chez les Phaeophyceae. Les principales algues dont on extrait l’alginate sont celles qui appartiennent aux familles des Laminaires et des Lessoniaceae.
