The origin of the cantaloupe melon dates back 5000 years. It is not only a delicious and refreshing fruit, it also contains healthy substances. It is rich in polyphenols, antioxidants, vitamins (mainly vit. A) and fibre. Recent research has demonstrated that its extracts, rich in superoxide dismutase (SOD) have several interesting properties. By reducing oxidative stress, they protect the cells from premature ageing. They are hepatic protectors. 6,7 They have a positive influence on fatigue and stress. 8
